I've got a few acres up in the mountains, and there's always something that needs doing. Cutting firewood, clearing brush, fixing fences, you name it. I'm outside most mornings, even when it's freezing. These pants have been comfortable to move around in, and the fleece lining is a nice touch when the wind picks up. Exactly the kind of pants I like having around.

THE FIRST COLD MORNING
Pull them on. Walk out. Forget about your legs.
The fleece is the first thing you notice. Then you notice nothing, which is the point. The wind does not get through. The wet grass does not soak in. You kneel to fix the thing and the knees give. You come back in warm and dry and get on with your day.

FIREWOOD. FENCE. DOG IN THE DARK.
Pants for the stuff that needs doing before work.
If you have a few acres, or a yard and a dog, you are outside every morning whether you feel like it or not. Jeans soak through. Sweatpants are a joke in the wind. These are the pair you grab without thinking. Warm enough for the woodpile. Dry enough for mud season. Decent enough to drive to town in after.
FROM GUYS WHO WORK OUTSIDE
What they said after a few cold mornings.
I work construction and I'm constantly bending, climbing, and kneeling throughout the day. Hate wearing bulky pants that make it hard to move. What I like about these is that they feel like regular work pants but have that extra warmth inside. The zipper pockets are handy too. Good pair of pants for the job site.
Picked these up for hunting season and they've been a good addition to my gear. I'm usually heading out before sunrise, and those cold mornings can be rough. The fleece lining helps, and I like that the pants aren't overly bulky when walking through the woods. The reinforced knees are a nice detail too.
Originally bought these for working outside, but now I find myself throwing them on almost every morning. Comfortable enough to drive in, warm enough for doing stuff around the yard, and they actually look pretty good with boots. Love the zippered pockets. Thinking about grabbing another color.
THE SPEC
Warm inside. Dry outside. Stretch where it counts.

THE DETAILS THAT MATTER AT 6 A.M.
Built for the stuff that needs doing.
Four zip pockets so your phone stays put when you bend. Articulated knees with reinforced panels so kneeling in gravel is not a problem. A web belt sewn in so you are not hunting for one. And the fleece lining that makes the whole thing worth it.

OPENING MORNING
Before sunrise in the woods, they earn it.
Walking in at 5 a.m. in October is where thin pants fall apart. The fleece holds heat on the walk and on the sit. The shell shrugs off frost and wet brush. The knees do not pull when you climb the stand. Not bulky. Not loud. Just warm.

SIZING
They run by waist size. Order the waist you wear in jeans.
Sizes are labeled by the waist they fit, with the factory tag in brackets. Order the range your jeans waist falls in. The side waist has stretch and the belt is built in, so each size has about two inches of give. Between sizes, go up.

Waist is the pant measured flat across the top, doubled. Outseam is waistband to hem down the outside of the leg, 42 to 45 inches depending on size, so these fit like a 32 to 33 inseam. Measurements allow about half an inch of variation.
Between two sizes, take the bigger one. The belt takes up the slack.

QUESTIONS
Things people ask before they order.
Are they waterproof or water-resistant?
Water-resistant. Rain, wet grass, slush and snow bead up and run off the shell. Stand in a creek and water will eventually get in. For a wet morning of chores, a hike in the rain or a day on site, they keep you dry.
How warm are they?
The inside is fleece, the outside is a windproof softshell. Most guys wear them on their own from about 20°F up. Below that, add a base layer. Above about 55°F you will be warm. These are cold-weather pants.
How do they size? Do they come in tall?
By US waist, measured relaxed. Order the waist you wear in jeans and go up if you are between sizes. Outseam runs 42 to 45 inches depending on size, about a 32 to 33 inseam, so they are not a short cut.
Work pants or hiking pants?
Both. Softshell outside, fleece inside, stretch all the way through. Construction guys wear them on site. Hunters wear them for the walk in. Guys with acreage wear them for chores. Lighter than insulated bibs, warmer than canvas, and they move.
What is the belt situation?
A web belt with a quick-release buckle is built into the waistband, so you are not hunting for a belt at 5 a.m. The side waist has some stretch too.
How do I wash them?
Machine wash cold, hang dry. Skip fabric softener, it kills the water resistance. If beading fades after a lot of washes, any spray-on water repellent brings it back.
Can I mix colors and sizes in a 2-pack or 3-pack?
Yes. Pick a color and a size for each pair. The order shows exactly which pants to ship and the bundle discount applies at checkout.
